Episode74- Sunscreens Recalled Due To Carcinogenic Properties

Welcome to another weekend short of The ZecoHealth Show.

This is Weight Management Expert, Narado Zeco Powell.

In this weekend’s short I will briefly talk about certain sunscreens that have been recently recalled due to carcinogenic properties.

This is important to know because our skin is our largest organ.

This means that what we absorb will go directly to our blood.

So, you can see how problematic this can be.

Before I begin, please remember to check out The Zeco Recommendation Page with products I have recommended for health, fitness & fatloss

Plus my discount codes are there so you can save some money.

Now, let’s start the show.

Like I mentioned above, our skin is our largest organ

This is why we need to be diligent of what we put on our skin

Let’s examine certain articles and I will put the links to all articles in the shownotes

This first one is from Good Housekeeping, titled

Everything You Need to Know About Recent Sunscreen Recalls

https://www.goodhousekeeping.com/beauty/anti-aging/a37273260/benzene-in-sunscreen/

It explains that experts are examining how Benzene, a cancer causing chemical ended up in sprays & lotions.

In July of 2021, Johnson & Johnson issued a voluntary recall of several sunscreens from Aveeno & Nuetrogena because they contained Benzene, a known carcinogen.

Benzene is extremely volatile and impacts your health immediately.

To make things worse, Benzene is usually found in crude oil and gasoline.

J & J isn’t the only culprit

An article from news outlet WKRN details that the FDA asked to recall 40 bathes of sunscreens, including, but not limited to, Coppertone, CVS Health, Fruit of The Earth, Raw Elements, Sun Bum, Banana Boat, Top Care, Everyday & Elta MD.

The link to the full article is also in the shownotes

This short is not to scare anyone, but to make you aware.

Think about limiting your use of sunscreens & if you must wear it, think of all natural.

Protect yourself!

Enjoy your weekend fam!
